Basically take the article I wrote about it in this Newsletter and blow it up to book form. This will include many refined portions and added necessities.<br /><br />From a mental standpoint, my ways of thinking, absorbing knowledge, and desired character of expressing my views in writing have been in a stage of flux. The past year or so has weighed somewhat heavily on me, especially by way of maturity and perspective.<br /><br />I've been looking over several sections of my blog and see some things I'm still proud of, but a lot that makes me feel silly, especially after being out of college for a year. The articles stand as an interesting backdrop to my last semester in school and the summer thereafter.<br /><br />That's a generous way for me to judge it I suppose.<br /><br />Really, this blog started as a practice space for me to write. Then I tried to push it into being a widely read newsletter. Then I became acutely conscious of a number of things that made me ponder the reasoning behind promoting the essays I slapped onto here.<br /><br />I want to keep writing in this, but I feel that...for awhile, I should keep it as a writing workshop mainly for myself. I don't want to develop the pretense that people absolutely need to read what I write on here every time I make a post. I think a humble sense of balance should prevail over a self-righteous sense of importance.<br /><br />I truly want to become a prominent writer, that's absolutely certain.<br /><br />I truly need to write, that's also certain. I need to write opinionated prose, or satirical fiction, or at least lyrics. I'm absolutely convinced my life would be pointless if I didn't write. I'm also convinced over and over again that music will always be central to my life as well. Whenever I go through a phase where I'm not consistently listening to music, staying up to date with whats going on in metal or my friends scenes, I start to go stir-crazy. I need to get my car-radio fixed asap...I've been without music in my car for 2 years.<br /><br /><br />So I know I should keep dropping things in here when I have the chance.<br /><br /><br /><br />I just think I'll be promoting it a lot less, mainly promoting the more topical essays rather than the personal sorts.<br /><br />Current priorities in my life lately include:<br /><br />-Keep up progress on getting into grad school (GREs, writing sample, letter of purpose, ect)<br />-Keep musical projects going<br />-Keep saving money<br />-Keep reading, I need to be as well read as possible<br />-My Book, see it through<br />-Stay physically active<br /><br />I'll write in this again soon.<br /><br />-JAZ<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/2456179623231260393-1027595070362583937?l=pandorasboxjaz.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>James Andrewhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09920982256942361461noreply@blogger.com0
